“Many women fail to make the journey to their authentic self-the original essence they embodied when they were a little girl.”
Remember that moment in your life when you thought you were invincible? You believed in your soul that you were capable of doing anything. That moment of innocence when you believed that you were going to conquer the world. You believed you were Wonder Woman until the world told you, “No, You can’t!” You then get so busy taking care of everyone and everything else and then end up feeling depleted, resentful, empty, lost, stuck and angry.
Society and family has conditioned women to believe that we are not deserving of our needs/goals and sexual desires.
Also, unintegrated past trauma plays a major role in the story that we tell ourselves and the decisions and choices that we make.
We then start to believe that only external forces prevent us from getting what we desire. We are also afraid of being uncomfortable.
For the past ten years, I noticed that I was intrinsically unhappy. Even though I maintained my job as a teacher, had many personal and professional accolades, loved my kids, and had amazing support from my friends and family, I had bouts of sadness, hopelessness and frustration about not feeling I was leading an authentic and thriving life.
I FELT STUCK!
To most people, I was a leader, and had a great life. Not many people knew that I left an emotionally abusive marriage of 19 years and went through a financially and emotionally devastating divorce, and thinking that I had “learned my lesson” and healed, I found myself trying to navigate, survive and make sense of my life in a new relationship with a covert narcissist for over 7 ½ years.
I was so unaware that I was being brainwashed and emotionally abused that I completely lost myself and my ability to make decisions that benefited me and I had the inability to see the world as it was not what I wanted it to be. Breaking up with this narcissist, cost me everything I held dear. The breakup was the most traumatic experience I ever went through. Not only did it affect me emotionally, I experienced so much trauma that it affected me physically. My health deteriorated and I felt hopeless.
I understand! The struggle is real!
I was tired of playing the victim and carrying the limited belief that life was happening to me. I was ready to be accountable for my life and my desires. I was ready to be uncomfortable. I realized that if I wanted real change in my life, it had to come from me, so I stepped into my Wonder Woman Power and realized I deserved my “Happy Ending!”
I was compelled to go on my own journey of empowerment, truth and personal transformation. I became a certified Ontological Life Coach, went through Transformational Training, and got certified as a VITA Sex, Love, and Relationship Coach.
It was during this time, I stepped into my Wonder Woman power, found my Authentic Self and was determined to build a better life for myself, my family, and other women!
